Caribana band launch season was off to a great start last weekend!  We were back stage and centre stage at the Grand Luxe Ballroom where  Tribal Carnival (formerly Tribal Knights) debuted their presentation entitled “The Beauty of Nature” for Toronto Carnival 2013.

Notable Mentions

Special shout out to makeup artists including Nikki D who did a fantastic job!

Favourite Male costume:  Waterfall male.  The Mohawk style headpiece continues to be quite popular with masqueraders and this one will certainly meet the needs of those men who want more than just a shorts and a waist band.

Favourite Female Costume: It’s a three way tie between Pele, Oasis and Wild.  Sometimes you look at backline costumes and feel like they were an after thought.  Well you don’t have to worry with any of these three.  All have strong backline options.
